Naming Conventions¶

Cluster¶

The following naming conventions are used:

The GridHPC lab operates the "Vulcan" cluster, which is the decomissioned GRID cluster from CERN. The vulcan cluster has 3 slurm queues, which are named "ember", "ignis", "aurora" for short, medium and uncapped job execution time.

Nodes¶

Slurm nodes are named according to the following convention:

node[XXX].gridhpc

Where XXX is the node number, e.g. node001.gridhpc, node002.gridhpc, etc.`

mngmt[XX].gridhpc

Where XX is the management node number, e.g. mngmt01.gridhpc, mngmt02.gridhpc, etc.

[service].gridhpc

Where service is the name of the service, e.g. git.gridhpc, grafana.gridhpc, etc.
